The BLUCAST Series 115 F5 flanged gate valve is an industrial isolation valve engineered for potable water distribution networks, water treatment infrastructure, and neutral liquid piping systems operating under working pressures up to 16 bar (PN16) and fluid temperatures from 0 degrees C to +80 degrees C. Designed with an extended face-to-face dimension conforming to EN 558-1 Series 15 (DIN 3202 F5), the valve incorporates an oval-pattern body and bonnet manufactured from robust ductile iron EN-GJS-500-7. The full-bore cavity provides an unobstructed flow profile that minimizes head loss, maintains optimal flow velocity, and prevents sediment accumulation across all available nominal diameters from DN 50 to DN 600.

Primary sealing is executed via a precision-guided ductile iron wedge fully vulcanized with EPDM elastomer in accordance with EN 681. This resilient wedge structure provides 100% bidirectional bubble-tight sealing with low operational closing torque and zero internal dead zones. The valve mechanism utilizes a non-rising stem machined from AISI 420 stainless steel, supported by a durable brass drive nut and locating collar. The bonnet is fastened using corrosion-resistant AISI 304 stainless steel bolts, recessed and sealed against external environmental exposure to ensure maintenance-free operation in underground or chamber installations.

Comprehensive surface protection is achieved through an electrostatic powder epoxy coating applied both internally and externally with a minimum film thickness of 250 μm in sky blue (RAL 5015). The coating system and elastomer compounds hold WRAS, ACS, and PZH hygienic approvals for drinking water contact. Compliant with EN 1074-1/-2 and EN 1171 design standards, this BLUCAST F5 valve delivers long-term operational integrity for municipal supply grids and industrial utility networks.
