The Blucast Series 115 flanged gate valve is an industrial isolation valve engineered for drinking water distribution, municipal utilities, and neutral liquid piping systems operating at working pressures up to 16 bar. Featuring a short face-to-face length compliant with EN 558-1 Series 14 (DIN 3202 F4), this resilient seated valve provides reliable, bi-directional shut-off across pipeline diameters from DN200 to DN600. The full-bore hydraulic passage contains no retention zones in the valve seat, preventing sediment buildup, minimizing head loss, and maintaining optimal flow efficiency.
Constructed with a robust ductile iron body and bonnet (EN-GJS-500-7), the assembly incorporates an EN-GJS-500-7 wedge fully encapsulated in vulcanized EPDM elastomer per EN 681. Integral guiding rails within the body support the wedge throughout its travel, preventing rubber wear, reducing closing torque, and ensuring 100% watertight sealing. The non-rising stem is precision-machined from AISI 420 stainless steel and drives a replaceable brass stem nut. An internal multi-stage EPDM O-ring sealing arrangement ensures long-term, maintenance-free stem sealing under continuous operating conditions.
Corrosion protection is provided by an electrostatic powder epoxy coating with a minimum dry film thickness of 250 μm in sky blue (RAL 5015), applied internally and externally. Certified to EN 1074-1, EN 1074-2, and EN 1171, this valve is rated for temperatures from 0 to 80 degrees Celsius and connects via EN 1092-2 flanged ends.
