The BLUCAST MPZ series ductile iron coupling is a high-performance mechanical joint engineered specifically for connecting and restraining polyethylene (PEHD / PE100 / PE80) and PVC-U pressure pipes in municipal water supply, industrial piping networks, and irrigation systems. Manufactured from robust EN-GJS-500-7 ductile cast iron, this dedicated pipe coupling provides a fully end-load-resistant connection rated for continuous working pressures up to PN16 (16 bar). It delivers exceptional mechanical integrity, preventing pipe pull-out and eliminating the necessity for external thrust blocks in underground and above-ground utility pipelines.

At the core of the BLUCAST MPZ design is an advanced mechanical grip system combining an integrated brass locking ring and a precision-profiled EPDM elastomeric sealing gasket. When the coupling bolts are tightened, the conical profile compresses the EPDM gasket to achieve reliable hydraulic sealing, while the serrated brass grip ring bites uniformly into the external surface of the plastic pipe. This delivers a dependable tensile restraint that actively resists axial movement, ground settlement, and thermal expansion cycles. The EPDM sealing element is formulated for potable water applications, maintaining elasticity and watertight performance across a operating temperature spectrum from 0 degrees to +80 degrees C.

Long-term durability and corrosion protection are ensured by an automatic powder epoxy coating applied with a minimum thickness of 250 µm in sky blue (RAL 5015), providing superior dielectric insulation and resistance to soil corrosion and chemical aggression. All structural assembly hardware consists of high-grade A2 stainless steel bolts and nuts, preventing seizing and corrosion over decades of buried service. Sized for pipe outer diameters from 75 mm to 315 mm, the BLUCAST MPZ coupling simplifies installation and maintenance, offering installers and civil engineers a reliable, certified jointing solution.
