About BigWeld

Made by engineers for engineers.

BigWeld (BIG - WELD S.R.L.) is a piping systems supplier and plastic fabricator founded in 2010, based in Timișoara, Romania, and serving customers across Europe.

What we do

Industrial piping. As an authorised Georg Fischer (GF Piping Systems) distributor, we supply PVC-U pressure systems, our core range, alongside PVC-C, ABS, PP-H, PVDF and ECTFE piping, valves and process instrumentation. Our customers are plants that handle corrosive media, and demanding applications where reliability and continuous uptime are paramount.

Irrigation. We are the exclusive Romanian partner of LaReTer (Italy) for PVC-A pressure pipe: a PVC alloy with PE-like ductility and crack resistance, Ø50–Ø500, PN8–PN20.

Water and sewer utilities. Blucast and VAG ductile iron valves and fittings, Georg Fischer PE pipe systems, repair clamps, couplings, and fully equipped valve chambers built from Weholite pipe.

Plastic fabrication and welding. In our own workshop we build chemical storage tanks, ventilation ducting, fume scrubbers, chambers and prefabricated pipe spools from SIMONA sheet and thermoplastic pipe. All our welding, whether butt fusion, electrofusion, hot-gas or extrusion, follows DVS 2207. We sell and rent Georg Fischer electrofusion and butt-fusion machines up to d1200, and our welding crew can work on your site, in Romania or abroad.

Adhesives. As a Weld-On dealer we supply solvent cements, primers and cleaners for PVC-U, PVC-C and ABS.

Engineering support. Material and chemical-compatibility advice, 3D design with material take-off, and process automation integration.
