The BLUCAST series APZ restrained flange adaptor provides a fully tensile-resistant mechanical connection between plain-ended polyethylene (PE / HDPE) or PVC pressure pipes and flanged pipeline components conforming to EN 1092-2 standards. Engineered specifically for potable water supply, irrigation, and industrial utility infrastructure, this PN16-rated ductile iron adaptor eliminates the need for expensive welding equipment or specialized thrust blocks at transition points, ensuring a rigid, leak-tight flanged joint capable of handling continuous operating pressures up to 16 bar.

Manufactured with a high-strength ductile iron body and compression flange, the fitting features a 250 µm electrostatically applied epoxy powder coating in RAL 5015 sky blue. This protective barrier provides long-term resistance against soil corrosion, chemical attack, and external wear, maintaining hygienic compliance for drinking water applications. The assembly is secured by corrosion-resistant A2 stainless steel tie bolts and washers, while a high-grade EPDM lip gasket provides reliable hydrostatic sealing across temperatures from 0 degrees to 80 degrees Celsius.

The core mechanical advantage of the APZ series lies in its integrated brass restraint ring. As the A2 stainless steel bolts are tightened evenly, the compression collar drives the profiled brass gripping ring against the outer surface of the PE or PVC pipe. The precision-machined serrations securely lock onto the thermoplastic pipe wall, preventing axial pull-out forces caused by internal hydrostatic pressure surges, thermal contraction, or ground movement, all without requiring pipe inserts or risk of wall crushing.

Designed for rapid field installation, the BLUCAST restrained flange adaptor accommodates nominal diameters from DN50 up to DN400. It allows pipeline contractors and civil engineering teams to swiftly connect plastic pipework to flanged gate valves, non-return valves, air release valves, and pumping stations with standard hand tools, maximizing installation efficiency and system reliability.
