The BLUCAST Series BCV dual plate check valve is a high-performance wafer-style non-return valve engineered specifically for drinking water treatment, distribution networks, and neutral liquid industrial pipelines. Built with a compact and robust body manufactured from high-grade EN-GJS-500-7 ductile iron, this check valve installs seamlessly between standard pipeline flanges drilled according to EN 1092-2 (compatible with PN10 and PN16 pressure ratings). The wafer design eliminates bulky flanged bodies, drastically reducing face-to-face dimensions and overall pipeline installation weight while simplifying handling during installation and scheduled maintenance.

Internally, the check valve utilizes twin swinging discs, a central hinge pin, and an internal torsion spring all precision-machined from corrosion-resistant AISI 304 stainless steel. The spring-assisted dual plate mechanism ensures rapid dynamic response to flow deceleration, closing smoothly before flow reversal occurs and effectively preventing destructive water hammer across pump discharge lines. A resilient vulcanized EPDM seat bonded directly into the ductile iron body provides reliable bubble-tight shut-off across the complete operating temperature range from 0 degrees C up to 80 degrees C under a maximum working pressure of 16 bar (PN16). The streamlined disc geometry ensures high flow capacity and minimal hydraulic head loss during normal operating conditions.

Engineered and manufactured in full compliance with European standards EN 12334 and EN 14341, the valve features a standardized face-to-face length according to DIN EN 558-1 Series 16. Full hydraulic pressure testing is conducted on every unit in accordance with EN 12266-1 to guarantee pressure integrity and zero seat leakage. Comprehensive corrosion protection is provided by an automated electrostatic powder epoxy coating applied both internally and externally to a minimum dry film thickness of 250 μm in sky blue RAL 5015. Suitable for both horizontal and vertical pipeline layouts with upward flow, the BLUCAST BCV series is available in nominal diameters from DN50 up to DN300, complete with CE marking and PZH hygienic certification for potable water installations.
