The BLUCAST MUN series universal pipe coupling provides a high-performance mechanical jointing solution engineered for connecting plain-ended pipes across a wide variety of pipeline materials. Designed for nominal pressure PN16 (16 bar), this wide-tolerance coupling accommodates pipes made of ductile iron, cast iron, carbon steel, PVC-U, PEHD, and fiber cement. It serves as an indispensable fitting for water utility distribution networks, industrial process piping, agricultural irrigation mains, and urgent infrastructure repair works where varying pipe outer diameters must be joined reliably without specialized tooling.

Manufactured from high-strength ductile iron EN-GJS-500-7, the coupling body and end rings deliver exceptional structural integrity against mechanical stress and hydraulic surges. Comprehensive surface protection is achieved through an automated electrostatic powder epoxy coating with a minimum thickness of 250 µm in RAL 5015 blue, ensuring outstanding corrosion resistance and certified hygienic safety for potable water service. High-tensile grade 8.8 hot-dip galvanized carbon steel bolts provide consistent clamping force across the circumference, maintaining joint reliability under challenging environmental conditions.

The MUN coupling incorporates precision-engineered EPDM rubber gaskets that ensure a reliable, 100% watertight seal even on worn, out-of-round, or slightly damaged pipe surfaces. With an allowable angular deflection of up to 4 degrees, the fitting effectively absorbs minor ground settlement, angular misalignments, and longitudinal thermal expansion within the piping system. Its wide tolerance range simplifies inventory management by allowing one single fitting to cover multiple outside diameter variations, significantly reducing installation time and overall maintenance costs across industrial and municipal utility projects.
