Privacy & Cookie Policy
S.C. BIG-WELD S.R.L. · Last updated: June 2026
This policy explains what personal data BW Instal (S.C. BIG-WELD S.R.L. — “we”, “our”, “us”) collects through this website, how we use, share and protect it, and how we use cookies.
We process personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and applicable Romanian law.
1. Scope
This policy applies to personal data we collect on this website. It does not cover websites operated by our affiliates, vendors or partners, which have their own privacy policies.
2. Information you provide to us
We collect personal data you choose to give us — for example when you create an account, place an Order, contact us, or apply for a job. This may include your name, email address, telephone number, delivery and billing details and, for job applications, your CV. We use it to respond to your request, process your Order or application, and communicate with you.
3. Information we collect automatically
When you visit the website we collect certain information by automated means, such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, the actions taken on the site, and the dates and times of your visits. We collect this mainly through cookies and similar technologies (see below) to operate, secure and improve the website.
4. Cookies
A cookie is a small text file of letters and numbers stored on your device when you visit a website. Cookies are passive — they do not run programs or access the files on your device — and in most cases do not identify you personally.
There are two broad types:
- Session cookies — temporary, deleted when you close your browser.
- Persistent cookies — stored on your device until they expire or you delete them, so the site remembers you on your next visit.
We use cookies for: site performance, visitor analytics, keeping you signed in, remembering your preferences (such as language and shopping cart), and relevant advertising. Some cookies are set by third parties — for example analytics and advertising providers such as Google Analytics, and embedded content or social links (YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, and similar) that are governed by those providers' own policies.
We also use server log files and tracking tags in HTML newsletters to understand, in aggregate, how the website and our emails are used, so we can improve them. This aggregate data does not identify you personally.
5. Your cookie choices
We set non-essential cookies only with your consent. You can review the full, current list of cookies and change or withdraw your consent at any time through our Cookie Settings. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, although some parts of the website may then not work properly.
6. How we use your information
- process, evaluate and respond to your requests, inquiries and Orders;
- verify your identity and keep your account and our services secure;
- operate, evaluate and improve our business and website (including developing new services and analysing how the site is used);
- process applications for employment;
- perform data analysis, including anonymisation of personal data;
- enforce our Terms and Conditions;
- comply with applicable legal requirements and our policies.
7. Legal bases for processing
We rely on the following legal bases under Article 6(1) GDPR: your consent (e.g. for non-essential cookies and marketing); performance of a contract with you (e.g. processing your Order); our legitimate interests (e.g. analytics and improving the website); and compliance with a legal obligation (e.g. fiscal and accounting requirements).
8. Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal data. We may share it with service providers who act on our behalf (such as hosting, website operation, order fulfilment, payment processing and analytics), under contracts that require them to safeguard it. We may also disclose data where required by law or to competent authorities, and in connection with a sale or transfer of all or part of our business.
9. International data transfers
Where we transfer personal data outside the European Economic Area, we ensure an adequate level of protection through appropriate safeguards — for example transfers to countries covered by a European Commission adequacy decision, or under the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
10. Data retention
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, or for as long as required by law (for example, accounting and tax obligations). After that, it is deleted or anonymised.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data. However, because of the open nature of the internet, we cannot guarantee that data transmitted to or stored on the website is absolutely secure.
12. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to: be informed about and access your data; have inaccurate data rectified and incomplete data completed; have your data erased (“right to be forgotten”); restrict processing; receive your data in a portable format; object to processing (including profiling for direct marketing); and withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing carried out before the withdrawal.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at office@bigweld.ro. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Romanian supervisory authority (ANSPDCP) or your local data protection authority.
13. Marketing
You can opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in the email or by contacting us. Withdrawing marketing consent does not affect any Order or contract already in place.
14. Children
This website is not intended for children under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us with data without the consent of a parent or guardian, please contact us and we will delete it.
15. Links to other websites
The website may link to other sites that operate independently of us and have their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their policies.
16. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time and will post any revisions on this page with a new “last updated” date. Please check back regularly. Where required by law, we will inform you of material changes and, where necessary, ask for your consent.
