The Blucast RM series L=400mm repair clamp provides an engineered sealing solution for emergency and permanent repairs on municipal potable water, raw water, and wastewater pressure infrastructure. Engineered for structural remediation of localized punctures, longitudinal cracks, impact fractures, and corrosion pitting, this clamp restores hydraulic integrity across ductile iron, grey cast iron, carbon steel, PEHD, and PVC piping systems up to a nominal operating pressure of PN16 (16 bar) and medium temperatures from 0 degrees to +80 degrees Celsius.

Featuring an extended 400 mm body width, the unit spans extensive damage zones and distributes radial compression uniformly across the pipe circumference, mitigating localized hoop stress on aged or flexible polymer substrates. The shell is fabricated from high-grade stainless steel with passivated surfaces to ensure high tensile strength and resistance against aggressive soil chemistry. The mechanical clamping jaws are manufactured from ductile iron EN-GJS, protected by an electrostatically applied powder epoxy coating with a minimum thickness of 250 μm in sky blue (RAL 5015), certified for long-term corrosion prevention.

Sealing performance is achieved through a vulcanized EPDM grid-profile gasket that completely envelops the damaged circumference. The waffle-structure elastomer compresses under bolt torque to fill surface irregularities, micro-cavities, and minor pipe ovality, guaranteeing a hermetic seal under continuous working pressures and pressure surges. Stainless steel draw bolts with anti-galling thread treatment allow straightforward mechanical installation directly inside wet excavations without specialized tooling.
