Georg Fischer COOL-FIT 4.0 pre-insulated PE100 SDR11 pipe is a factory-engineered piping solution manufactured for industrial refrigeration, secondary cooling circuits, food and beverage processing, and heavy-duty HVAC installations. Built around a bonded 3-in-1 layout, each pipe integrates a pressure-bearing PE100 core pipe, a rigid GF HE foam thermal insulation core, and a protective, impact-resistant high-density polyethylene (HDPE) outer jacket. This continuous composite structure provides absolute moisture and vapor tightness, fully eliminating condensation formation, ice buildup, and external pipe corrosion without requiring tedious manual secondary insulation on the construction site. Engineered for heavy industrial requirements, the system supports an operational pressure of 16 bar and functions across a fluid medium temperature range of -50 degrees to +60 degrees Celsius, ensuring 24/7 reliability in indoor plant rooms as well as demanding outdoor rooftop chillers exposed to ambient weathering.

The factory-applied GF HE closed-cell foam provides a nominal insulation layer of 40 mm with an ultra-low thermal conductivity rating of λ ≤ 0.026 W/mK at 20 degrees Celsius, a foam density of ≥ 70 kg/m³, and a microscopic maximum cell size of Ø 0.5 mm. It is entirely halogen-free with zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) and meets fire classification Class E in accordance with EN 13501-1. Weighing approximately 60 percent less than traditional steel piping, the PE100 medium pipe ensures smooth, incrustation-free internal flow for water and glycol solutions over an estimated maintenance-free service life of at least 25 years. The pipe is delivered with bare spigot ends prepared for quick, high-integrity electrofusion welding, supplied in nominal diameters from d160 up to d450 mm in standard lengths of 5.0 m and 5.9 m.
