Georg Fischer COOL-FIT 4.0 pre-insulated PE100 SDR17 pipes in 11.9 m lengths provide a factory-bonded 3-in-1 solution designed for energy-efficient commercial refrigeration, industrial process cooling, and chilled water distribution. Engineered with an inner PE100 core pipe rated for PN10 operating pressure, each length incorporates 40 mm of high-efficiency closed-cell GF HE foam insulation and a robust, impact-resistant black high-density polyethylene outer jacket. This fully bonded, vapour-tight composite architecture eliminates moisture ingress, ice formation, and surface condensation across fluid medium operating temperatures ranging from -50 degrees C to +60 degrees C. The rigid foam core features a minimal thermal conductivity of lambda 0.026 W/mK at 20 degrees C and an insulation density of at least 70 kg/m3 with zero Ozone Depletion Potential, cutting thermal energy losses by approximately 30 percent in comparison to post-insulated metal lines. Supplied with bare spigot ends to facilitate electrofusion welding using matched electrofusion couplers, these extended 11.9-metre sections significantly reduce joint density along main headers and long transmission runs. The completely non-corrosive thermoplastic construction prevents internal scaling and external degradation from UV exposure or demanding weather conditions in rooftop chillers, cold storage facilities, and beverage processing plants. Offering roughly 60 percent weight savings over equivalent steel networks, the factory pre-insulated assembly ensures streamlined handling, rapid single-step installation without secondary post-lagging, and reliable maintenance-free service across an operational design life exceeding 25 years.
