The Georg Fischer COOL-FIT 4.0 pre-insulated PE100 pipe is an advanced 3-in-1 factory-engineered piping solution designed for high-efficiency cooling circuits, industrial refrigeration, HVAC chillers, and food and beverage process systems. Built from three firmly bonded layers, the system integrates an internal PE100 media pipe, a 40 mm core of closed-cell, halogen-free GF HE insulation foam, and a robust, impact-resistant black HDPE outer jacket. This fully bonded, vapor-tight construction completely prevents condensation build-up and external ice formation, effectively eliminating the severe corrosion risks typical of post-insulated metal systems. Engineered for demanding secondary refrigeration applications utilizing chilled water or water-glycol mixtures, the carrier pipe reliably operates across a wide media temperature spectrum from minus 50 degrees to plus 60 degrees Celsius. The high-performance foam delivers outstanding thermal barrier efficiency with a thermal conductivity lambda of less than or equal to 0.022 W/mK up to diameter d110 and 0.026 W/mK across larger dimensions, yielding average thermal energy savings of up to 30 percent compared to conventional installations. Equipped with factory-prepared free ends for electrofusion joining, the pipe enables rapid, leak-free, and homogeneous welding while reducing assembly time significantly. Weighing approximately 60 percent less than traditional steel alternatives, the lightweight thermoplastic pipe drastically reduces building dead loads and supports single-person handling. With zero ozone depletion potential, complete resistance to chemical incrustation, and robust UV weathering protection on the outer casing, the assembly guarantees maintenance-free, continuous operation over a minimum service life of 25 years.
