Georg Fischer COOL-FIT 2.0F pre-insulated piping delivers a factory-engineered, 3-in-1 solution designed for chilled water distribution, HVAC systems, industrial process cooling, and commercial refrigeration circuits demanding enhanced passive fire resistance. Constructed with a PE100 SDR11 thermoplastic core carrier pipe rated for operating pressures up to 16 bar, each 5-meter metric pipe length is surrounded by high-efficiency, halogen-free, closed-cell GF HE foam thermal insulation and permanently encased in an impact-resistant, flame-retardant black outer jacket. All three components are firmly bonded together during fabrication to ensure structural integrity, eliminate annular air gaps, and guarantee absolute vapor-tight moisture protection that prevents condensation and exterior corrosion under continuous thermal operation. The specialized outer casing achieves an EN 13501-1 reaction-to-fire classification of B-s2, d0, making it fully compliant with rigorous indoor fire-safety specifications in data centers, healthcare facilities, and modern commercial buildings. With a nominal 20 mm insulation thickness delivering an optimal thermal conductivity of lambda 0.022 W/mK or lower at 20 degrees Celsius, the system reliably conveys process cooling media within an operational temperature spectrum of 0 degrees Celsius to +60 degrees Celsius. Each factory-delivered bar features exposed, peeled spigot ends designed for swift jointing using COOL-FIT electrofusion couplers and fittings, drastically shortening assembly schedules without requiring post-installation insulation work. The resulting maintenance-free installation combines superior energy efficiency, smooth non-scaling bore characteristics, and an average 60 percent weight reduction compared to conventional insulated metallic piping.
