Georg Fischer COOL-FIT 4.0 equal 90-degree tees provide high-efficiency pre-insulated branching for large-bore secondary cooling, industrial refrigeration, and chilled water distribution loops operating at nominal pressures up to 10 bar. Designed as Type B metric spigot fittings for SDR17 pipe networks ranging from d250 to d450, these components feature smooth spigot ends engineered for jointing via electrofusion couplers, establishing permanent, homogenous, and leak-free branch connections without requiring mechanical fasteners. The fitting is manufactured using an integrated 3-in-1 construction where the PE100 inner carrier pipe, halogen-free closed-cell high-efficiency foam insulation, and impact-resistant, UV-protected black polyethylene outer jacket are factory-bonded into a single monolithic component. This factory pre-insulated architecture eliminates thermal bridging, prevents condensation, and protects the line against external vapor ingress across a wide operating temperature envelope spanning from -50 degrees Celsius to +60 degrees Celsius. With an exceptionally low thermal conductivity (lambda rating of 0.026 W/mK or lower), the closed-cell insulation maintains optimal fluid process temperatures, prevents ice accumulation behind the jacket, and significantly reduces thermal energy dissipation compared to post-insulated metallic piping. Fully resistant to internal scaling, incrustation, and aggressive ambient atmospheres, the non-corrosive thermoplastic system is optimized for demanding commercial refrigeration, food and beverage cold-chain processing, process cooling plants, and outdoor rooftop chiller installations requiring dependable, maintenance-free continuous operation over a minimum 25-year service life.
