The Georg Fischer COOL-FIT 2.0 flexible hose provides a high-integrity, vibration-damped connection specifically engineered for chilled water networks, commercial air conditioning installations, and industrial process cooling circuits. Fabricated with an inner elastomer hose made of premium EPDM, this flexible conduit incorporates robust stainless steel protective outer braiding to resist high tensile stresses, internal pressure pulses, and mechanical fatigue caused by equipment operation. To maintain complete thermal efficiency and vapor-tight integrity across chilled piping loops, the assembly is factory pre-insulated with closed-cell NBR foam enclosed in an impact-resistant, tearproof outer jacket that shields the underlying thermal barrier from physical abrasion and mechanical damage. Engineered to connect rigid pre-insulated plastic piping runs to dynamic terminal units such as fan coils, heat exchangers, circulating pumps, and chillers, the hose effectively absorbs thermal expansion, structural misalignment, and continuous mechanical vibrations without transmitting dynamic loads to the surrounding distribution system. Secure mechanical interfacing is achieved via precision brass adapters configured with a swiveling loose union nut featuring an internal cylindrical G thread on one terminus and an external male GA thread on the opposing terminus, ensuring reliable sealing with flat elastomeric gaskets. By preventing condensation build-up, dampening acoustic vibrations, and eliminating the thermal bridges commonly found in post-insulated metal compensators, the pre-insulated flexible hose maintains consistent energy conservation across secondary refrigeration circuits carrying water and glycol mixtures.
