The Georg Fischer COOL-FIT 4.0 45-degree elbow is an engineered, factory pre-insulated electrofusion fitting designed for directional changes in high-efficiency secondary refrigeration, HVAC, and industrial process cooling distribution systems. Manufactured as a fully integrated 3-in-1 component, the fitting combines an inner SDR11 PE100 carrier pipe, high-performance closed-cell halogen-free GF HE insulation foam, and a robust, impact-resistant black outer protective jacket. Designed for operating medium temperatures spanning from -50 degrees Celsius to +60 degrees Celsius at an operating pressure rating of up to 16 bar, this component ensures complete vapor sealing and zero condensation across chilled liquid lines. As a Type A fitting, it incorporates embedded electrofusion heating wires along with an integrated elastomeric sealing lip that compresses securely onto the pre-insulated pipe casing during assembly. This mechanical lip construction establishes a completely moisture-proof and vapor-tight seal without the need for manual post-insulation, adhesive glues, silicone mastic, or secondary heat-shrink sleeves. By delivering outstanding thermal performance with low thermal conductivity, the elbow dramatically minimizes thermal losses compared to field-insulated metallic lines while permanently preventing condensation-induced corrosion and surface icing.
