Georg Fischer Signet 4150 Turbidimeter System V2
The Georg Fischer Signet 4150 Turbidimeter system V2 provides precise on-line water quality monitoring for municipal and industrial treatment plants. Compliant with U.S. EPA 180.1 and ISO 7027 standards, the instrument measures turbidity via 90 degrees light scattering in a low-volume, low-flow optical glass cuvette. The cuvette operates within a watertight dark chamber that shields the sensor from stray ambient light. A replaceable desiccant pack maintains a dry internal environment, preventing condensation on the optical surfaces during cold-water processing.
Sample conditioning is integrated directly within the compact unit. The Signet 4150 V2 includes a built-in pressure regulator and an adjustable backpressure valve on the discharge tubing. This hydraulic design ensures stable laminar flow and suppresses outgassing, eliminating microbubbles that could cause false turbidity spikes. The system provides reliable continuous analysis with low sample consumption, making it ideal for drinking water treatment, filtration skids, membrane permeate monitoring, and industrial discharge.
Calibration is performed in under five minutes using dry, sealed calibration standards, eliminating the need to prepare or mix chemical solutions. The optical cuvette is transferred directly from the measuring chamber into the calibration holder while sample lines remain connected. The system is available in two measuring ranges: 0 to 100 NTU/FNU for low-range potable water applications, and 0 to 1000 NTU/FNU for raw water, clarification, and industrial wastewater streams.
The instrument features a programmable 4-20 mA output and spacious wiring access for straightforward integration with plant automation systems. It is fully compatible with the Signet 8058 i-Go Signal Converter. An optional ultrasonic cleaning system is available to prevent cuvette fouling in high-particulate media.
