Georg Fischer Signet 4630 Chlorine Analyzer Panel
The Georg Fischer Signet 4630 Chlorine Analyzer System is an integrated, pre-assembled panel designed for continuous online monitoring of free chlorine in industrial water treatment, cooling circuits, and municipal utility piping networks. Utilizing an advanced reagent-free amperometric measurement technology, the system eliminates recurring chemical reagent purchases, manual mixing, and hazardous waste disposal associated with traditional colorimetric units. This complete turnkey panel combines analytical instrumentation, hydraulic regulation, particle filtration, and visual flow verification on a single backplate, saving valuable engineering and installation time.
At the center of the system is an acrylic transparent flow cell that houses the analytical sensors, an integrated pressure regulator, an easily removable inlet filter, and a variable-area flow indicator. Built to handle fluctuating line conditions, the internal regulator accepts inlet pressures from 1 to 8 bar (15 to 120 psi) while maintaining a steady sample velocity and minimal hydrostatic pressure on the sensor tips. Process water enters vertically from below, a hydrodynamic pattern that actively purges bubbles to prevent air entrapment on the sensing membrane. The cell geometry retains an internal water volume when flow stops, keeping electrodes continuously submerged during maintenance or shutdown.
The Signet 4630 accommodates a dedicated free chlorine sensor alongside an optional pH sensor within the same transparent cell. In applications where water pH fluctuates by more than plus or minus 0.20 pH units, the secondary pH sensor provides dynamic compensation to calculate free chlorine accurately. For processes with steady, controlled pH values, the extra sensor is omitted and the value is entered directly into the transmitter interface. Powered by a universal 100 to 240 VAC line, the system includes two configurable 4 to 20 mA analog outputs and two dry-contact mechanical relays for process alarms or dosing control.
