The Georg Fischer iJOINT metal transition coupling with female thread is an engineered mechanical compression fitting designed to interface polyethylene pipes (PE 80, PE 100, PEX, and PEX-a) directly with threaded metal pipe components or valving. Developed for high-integrity water distribution networks, service connections, and industrial fluid systems, this component incorporates a corrosion-resistant CW617N brass female threaded insert complying with ISO 7-1 (DIN EN 10226) parallel standards, permanently integrated into a UV-stabilized polypropylene impact copolymer (PP-B) body.

Engineered for nominal operating pressures up to 16 bar (PN16) across an operating temperature range of -10 degrees Celsius to +45 degrees Celsius, the fitting delivers superior hydraulic tightness and axial restraint. The push-fit mechanism allows for immediate pipe insertion without the need to dismantle the nut or bevel the pipe end, significantly accelerating site installation. A factory-lubricated food-grade EPDM lip gasket guarantees reliable sealing performance even on ovalized, undersized, or longitudinally scratched pipe surfaces. The polyacetal (POM) clamp ring provides high pull-out resistance, safeguarding system continuity against ground movement, pressure transients, and water hammer.

The UV-stabilized copolymer construction prevents galvanic corrosion, biological incrustation, and environmental degradation, making the fitting ideal for above-ground exposed installations as well as direct burial.
