Georg Fischer Multi/Clamp Double Repair Clamp L=400mm

  Data Sheet |   Product Range

The Georg Fischer Multi/Clamp Double with an installation length of 400 mm is a heavy-duty two-part stainless steel repair clamp engineered for the permanent and reliable remediation of extensive pipeline damage. Designed specifically for utility distribution networks and industrial piping systems, this double-band clamp accommodates large pipe diameters and wide tolerance variations, providing an impermeable mechanical seal over longitudinal fractures, corrosion perforations, impact cracks, and pipe joints.

Manufactured exclusively from high-grade AISI 304 stainless steel (with AISI 316 available upon request), all structural components, including the shells, bridge plates, and robust stainless steel lugs, undergo robotic automated welding and full chemical passivation. This specialized fabrication process eliminates the risk of contact corrosion and guarantees long-term durability in aggressive buried soil environments or exposed aboveground installations.

Sealing performance is ensured by a vulcanized full-circle waffle gasket in standard NBR compliant with EN 682, operating safely across temperatures from -10 degrees Celsius to +70 degrees Celsius for water and gas distribution networks. For dedicated potable water applications, an EPDM gasket certified to EN 681-1 is available, rated for -10 degrees Celsius to +55 degrees Celsius. The interlocking waffle pattern optimizes surface pressure distribution, ensuring tight containment even on irregular or ovalized pipe walls.

The Multi/Clamp Double L=400mm is universally compatible with ductile cast iron, grey cast iron, carbon steel, asbestos cement, and thermoplastic piping materials such as PEHD, PVC-U, and PP. It supports both depressurized repairs and under-pressure live line installations up to 16 bar (depending on nominal diameter), eliminating costly operational shutdowns and reducing repair maintenance cycles.
