The Georg Fischer ECOS butt fusion machine is an engineered, heavy-duty jointing system designed for butt welding PE, PP, and PB pressure pipes and fittings. Purpose-built for utility trenches and jobsite environments, the ECOS series covers pipe outer diameters from 40 mm up to 315 mm across three distinct machine sizes: ECOS 160, ECOS 250, and ECOS 315. The rigid base frame is manufactured from high-strength aluminium, providing complete resistance to mechanical distortion under fusion pressures while maintaining a lightweight profile for practical handling on site.

The manual hydraulic unit delivers finely adjustable, stable pressure regulation monitored via an integrated vibration-free pressure gauge. This precise control guarantees compliance with jointing parameters throughout the heating, bead-up, change-over, and cooling phases. The base machine incorporates a 35 degrees inclined third clamp, engineered to maximize working clearance around tight geometry fittings such as tees, elbows, and flanges, significantly reducing alignment and setup time during challenging installations.

Pipe end face preparation is executed by a powerful parallel planer featuring optimized cutting geometry. It produces clean, plane-parallel pipe ends free of chatter marks, ensuring uniform contact across the entire fusion surface. The high-performance heating plate is equipped with electronic temperature control and coated with durable non-stick PTFE to eliminate polymer adhesion. A mechanical double-sided pull-off mechanism detaches the heating element simultaneously from both pipe faces during change-over, protecting molten weld beads and optimizing cycle times.

Each model provides reliable power output: the ECOS 160 provides 1900 W, the ECOS 250 provides 3270 W, and the ECOS 315 provides 3870 W of system power. Designed for rugged civil and industrial environments, the ECOS butt fusion system provides contractors with exceptional repeatability, joint integrity, and ergonomic handling across water, gas, and industrial process piping networks.
