The Georg Fischer Multi/Clamp flanged tapping saddle with an installation length of 500 mm is engineered for heavy-duty pipeline branching, emergency reinforcement, and hot tapping operations on pressurized networks. Designed with a robust multi-band configuration and an integrated flanged outlet, this tapping sleeve allows utilities and industrial piping installers to establish new branch connections or install valves and hydrants without interrupting active flow. Manufactured entirely from high-grade stainless steel AISI 304 (with AISI 316 available on request), the body provides superior corrosion resistance in both buried and aboveground pipeline environments.

Each Multi/Clamp fitting is produced in a dedicated stainless steel facility to eliminate contact corrosion, utilizing advanced robotic welding and complete chemical passivation. The integrated flanged branch conforms to EN/DIN PN 10 and PN 16 drilling patterns, providing rigid alignment and standard bolting compatibility with industrial isolation valves. The sealing system features a full-circle profiled NBR rubber gasket conforming to EN 682, capable of handling operating temperatures from -10 degrees to +70 degrees Celsius for potable water, raw water, gas, and municipal wastewater. For specialized potable water networks, EPDM gaskets compliant with EN 681-1 (-10 degrees to +55 degrees Celsius) are also available. The outlet zone is reinforced with an integrated stainless steel ring within the gasket assembly to ensure reliable pressure containment and prevent gasket extrusion during mechanical drilling.

The extended 500 mm contact body distributes radial clamping loads evenly across the host pipe circumference, making it fully compatible with ductile iron, grey cast iron, carbon steel, asbestos cement, and thermoplastic pipes such as PEHD, PVC-U, and PP-H.
