The double flanged ductile iron pipe with a nominal length of 200 mm is a short spool piece used to make rigid, high-integrity connections in potable water supply, raw water transmission and industrial utility piping. Manufactured to EN 545, it acts as a dimensional spacer and structural link between valves, flow meters, pumps and adjoining flanged pipeline sections, and is supplied from DN50 to DN300. Both integral flanges are drilled to EN 1092-2 PN16, so bolt circles align with standard PN16 municipal and industrial waterworks components.

The body is cast in EN-GJS-500-7 ductile iron (spheroidal graphite iron), which delivers higher tensile strength, a better yield limit and far greater impact tolerance than grey cast iron. That metallurgy keeps the spool reliable at continuous working pressures up to 16 bar and lets it absorb hydraulic surge, water hammer and mechanical loads inside underground distribution chambers or above-ground pumping stations. Admissible fluid temperature runs from 0 to +80 degrees C for drinking water and neutral liquids.

Corrosion protection is a factory-applied electrostatic powder epoxy coating with a minimum thickness of 250 µm, finished in sky blue RAL 5015. The coating meets WRAS and ACS sanitary requirements for contact with drinking water, prevents internal encrustation and scaling, and shields the ductile iron substrate against external soil corrosion and damp chamber environments.
