The Blucast double flanged bend 45 degrees is an engineered ductile iron fitting manufactured in accordance with EN 545 for pressurized water distribution networks, irrigation systems, and industrial utility piping. Designed to facilitate a precise 45-degree directional change in flanged piping routes, this fitting provides dependable structural integrity, excellent hydrodynamic efficiency, and high resistance to mechanical stresses in above-ground and buried installations.

Manufactured from high-grade EN-GJS-500-7 ductile cast iron, the body features uniform wall thickness and exceptional tensile strength to withstand continuous working pressures up to PN16 (16 bar) and operating temperatures from 0°C to +80°C. The integral flanges comply with EN 1092-2 drilling standards, ensuring full compatibility with PN10 and PN16 flanged components across nominal diameters from DN 80 to DN 200. The robust construction prevents deformation under operating pressure surges and external ground loads.

Surface protection is provided by an advanced electrostatically applied powder epoxy coating with a minimum thickness of 250 µm in sky blue (RAL 5015). This factory-applied barrier adheres directly to the blast-cleaned iron substrate, providing comprehensive internal and external protection against aggressive soils, electrolytic corrosion, and chemical degradation from conveyed neutral fluids. The coating formulation complies with WRAS and European hygienic drinking water standards, preserving water quality without leaching contaminants.
