The Blucast ductile iron reduced flanged tee is an engineered piping component designed for branching and pipeline diameter transitions in municipal water distribution, raw water transmission, irrigation infrastructure, and industrial utility piping systems. Manufactured in strict accordance with the EN 545 standard for water pipelines, this all-flanged reducing fitting guarantees structural robustness and optimized hydraulic performance across nominal diameters from DN 65/50 up to DN 600/500. Rated for a nominal pressure of PN16 (16 bar), it ensures long-term operational integrity and dependable sealing in pressurized networks.

Constructed from high-grade EN-GJS-500-7 ductile iron (spheroidal graphite iron), the fitting combines excellent tensile strength, elongation capacity, and high impact resistance, significantly outperforming conventional grey cast iron. Surface protection is achieved through an automated electrostatic powder epoxy coating with a minimum dry film thickness of 250 µm in sky blue (RAL 5015). This high-integrity anti-corrosion barrier complies with WRAS and ACS sanitary certification requirements, preventing biofilm buildup and safeguarding potable drinking water quality across an operating temperature range from 0 degrees to +80 degrees Celsius.

The tee features standardized flange connections compliant with EN 1092-2 PN16 drilling patterns, enabling straightforward, rigid integration with flanged gate valves, butterfly valves, flow meters, pumps, and adjacent ductile iron or steel pipelines. The full-bore hydraulic profile minimizes turbulence and localized head loss at the branch junction.
