The Blucast double flanged taper reducer, series FFR, provides a robust and reliable diameter transition in municipal, utility, and industrial pressure piping systems. Engineered specifically for potable water, raw water, and neutral fluid transmission, this ductile iron fitting facilitates smooth hydraulic transitions between different nominal pipe sizes while maintaining full structural rigidity. Designed and manufactured in strict compliance with the EN 545 standard, the FFR concentric reducer delivers outstanding mechanical durability, high pressure resistance, and reliable performance across underground and above-ground utility installations.

Constructed from high-grade ductile cast iron grade EN-GJS-500-7, the fitting features heavy-duty flanges drilled to EN 1092-2 for PN10 and PN16 pressure ratings. The optimized internal geometry minimizes turbulence and head loss during diameter transitions, ensuring smooth hydraulic flow characteristics across the pipeline. Comprehensive corrosion protection is delivered through a high-integrity electrostatic powder epoxy coating applied with a minimum thickness of 250 micrometres in sky blue (RAL 5015). This protective layer is WRAS certified, chemically inert, and highly resistant to cathodic disbondment, soil stresses, and aggressive transport media.

The series FFR flanged reducer is engineered for fluid temperatures from 0 to 80 degrees Celsius, making it ideal for municipal water distribution networks, pumping stations, water treatment facilities, and industrial process piping.
