The Georg Fischer Multi/Clamp flanged tapping saddle with a 300 mm body length (L=300mm) is a heavy-duty, corrosion-resistant engineering solution designed for hot tapping under pressure, fluid branching, and secure valve or hydrant integration across municipal and industrial pipeline infrastructure. Engineered for nominal working pressures up to PN16, this flanged saddle ensures a durable, leak-tight connection on potable water, raw water, wastewater, and natural gas networks, providing seamless performance in both underground buried applications and aboveground utility installations.

Manufactured entirely in a dedicated stainless steel environment to prevent cross-contamination and contact corrosion, the Multi/Clamp body, bridge plate, lugs, and tension bolts are fabricated from certified AISI 304 (A2) stainless steel, with AISI 316 available upon request for aggressive chemical or marine environments. All components undergo automated robotic welding and comprehensive chemical passivation to guarantee maximum metallurgy integrity and long-term resistance to harsh soil chemistries and atmospheric weathering. The flanged branch complies with standardized EN/DIN PN10 and PN16 drilling patterns for universal flange compatibility.

The sealing mechanism utilizes a vulcanized waffle-profile NBR elastomer gasket compliant with EN 682 standards, operating reliably across continuous temperatures from -10 degrees to +70 degrees Celsius. For dedicated potable water applications, an EN 681-1 certified EPDM gasket is available for operating temperatures from -10 degrees to +55 degrees Celsius. The flanged outlet gasket incorporates an integrated stainless steel reinforcement ring that prevents elastomer blowout under severe hydraulic pressure surges and dynamic water hammer.

Engineered for universal pipe substrate compatibility, this flanged tapping clamp installs securely on ductile cast iron, grey iron, carbon steel, asbestos cement, and thermoplastic pipelines including PEHD, PVC-U, and PP-H. The broad 300 mm band width distributes tightening torque evenly across the pipe circumference, minimizing localized stresses, mitigating pipe deformation, and bridging surface imperfections without requiring heavy specialized tooling.
