Fuseal LD 1/4 Bend 90° Street PP S x SPG

Material: PP Gasket: S x SPG

  Datasheet (PDF)

The Georg Fischer Fuseal LD 1/4 bend 90 degrees street fitting is an engineered polypropylene directional component specifically developed for heavy-duty corrosive waste drainage systems in laboratory, pharmaceutical, chemical processing, and industrial DWV facilities. Designed for large-diameter distribution mains in nominal diameters spanning 8 inch, 10 inch, and 12 inch, the fitting features a socket-by-spigot (S x SPG) street configuration that enables direct coupling into an adjoining fitting socket, eliminating intermediate pipe cut segments to optimize routing within restricted structural envelopes. Available in both flame retardant (PPFR) and non-flame retardant (PPNFR) polypropylene compounds, the fitting demonstrates superior chemical resistance across aggressive media, withstanding corrosive alkalis, aqueous acid salts, alcohols, solvents, and dilute mineral acids without risk of rust, electrolytic degradation, pitting, or scaling. Engineered for thermal stability, the component reliably supports continuous industrial effluent discharge up to 180 degrees Fahrenheit (82 degrees Celsius) and handles intermittent high-temperature thermal surges up to 212 degrees Fahrenheit (100 degrees Celsius), while sustaining operating pressures up to 50 psi in pumped and gravity-assisted corrosive drainage lines. Joint integrity is achieved through specialized Fuseal LD electrofusion loose coil technology, where resistance heating coils deliver uniform thermal plastic melt zones to yield homogeneous, leak-tight structural joints as strong as the parent polypropylene substrate. Precision-molded geometries deliver consistent centerline-to-face dimensions across the range, including center-to-socket face measurements of 12.25 inches for 8-inch, 14.25 inches for 10-inch, and 16.25 inches for 12-inch sizes, coupled with spigot extensions of 12.00 inches, 14.00 inches, and 16.00 inches respectively, ensuring optimal hydraulic flow performance and uncompromising containment reliability in demanding industrial waste disposal networks.
