The Georg Fischer (GF Piping Systems) Fuseal Fast-Lock 45 degrees wye is an engineered mechanical joint fitting designed for directional flow branching in corrosive chemical waste drainage and industrial DWV systems. Manufactured from flame-retardant polypropylene (PPFR), the fitting delivers outstanding chemical resistance against aggressive alkalis, alcohols, dilute mineral acids, solvents, and salt solutions, eliminating risks associated with rust, pitting, scaling, and electrolytic degradation. Operating across demanding laboratory and process environments, the wye withstands continuous fluid service up to 180 degrees Fahrenheit (82 degrees Celsius) and intermittent thermal discharges reaching 212 degrees Fahrenheit (100 degrees Celsius). The all-socket (S x S x S) configuration features the compact Fast-Lock mechanical joint mechanism, allowing rapid, secure clamping onto both flame-retardant and non-flame-retardant polypropylene pipe without requiring specialized grooving equipment, solvent cements, or curing wait times. Connections are actuated using standard 8 mm or 10 mm socket drivers, ensuring a reliable joint rated for operating pressures up to 35 psi suitable for intermittent pumped and vacuum drainage applications. The modular socket architecture accommodates interchangeable electrofusion collars, enabling versatile site transitions between mechanical joints and electrofusion lines.
