The Georg Fischer Fuseal Fast-Lock 60 degrees bend is an engineered flame-retardant polypropylene fitting designed for directional changes in corrosive chemical waste drainage and industrial DWV networks. Manufactured from heat-stabilized, flame-retardant polypropylene, the fitting provides dependable chemical resistance against aggressive acids, alkalis, alcohols, solvents, and aqueous salt solutions, preventing rust, pitting, scaling, and electrolytic degradation. Equipped with the innovative Fast-Lock mechanical joint system, the 60 degrees bend facilitates rapid installation without requiring solvent cements, primers, or grooving tools, eliminating toxic installation fumes and lengthy cure times to enable immediate pressure testing and service operation. The mechanical assembly utilizes a compact locking collar tightened using a standard 8 mm or 10 mm socket driver, making it ideal for restricted installation envelopes, service shafts, and tight wall cavities. Designed for dimensional compatibility across nominal pipe sizes from 1 1/2 inch to 4 inches, the fitting integrates seamlessly with both flame-retardant and non-flame-retardant polypropylene piping. Fully pressure-rated to 35 psi, the system reliably supports intermittent pumped discharges and vacuum drainage conditions. Thermal performance accommodates continuous service temperatures up to 180 degrees Fahrenheit (82 degrees Celsius) and intermittent temperature surges up to 212 degrees Fahrenheit (100 degrees Celsius). The modular hub architecture features interchangeable collar geometry that allows direct field transitions between Fast-Lock mechanical joints and standard Fuseal electrofusion collars, delivering exceptional layout adaptability for demanding chemical processing, life sciences, institutional healthcare, academic research, and food and beverage drainage systems.
