Fuseal 1/8 Bend 45° S x S
The Georg Fischer Fuseal Fast-Lock 45 degrees 1/8 bend is engineered for directional change in polypropylene piping systems dedicated to corrosive chemical waste and aggressive drainage applications. Manufactured from flame-retardant polypropylene (PPFR), this socket-by-socket (S x S) fitting executes an exact 45 degrees offset while preserving laminar flow profiles across demanding laboratory and industrial DWV networks. The fitting integrates the Fast-Lock mechanical joint mechanism, which secures the connection without solvent cements, chemical primers, grooving procedures, or curing intervals. Utilizing a mechanical collar torqued with standard 8 mm or 10 mm socket drivers, the joint is immediately ready for pressure testing and operation upon tightening, entirely avoiding hazardous fumes during assembly. Its design provides modular interchangeability with standard Fuseal electrofusion collars, allowing transitions between mechanical joints and electrofusion lines across the installation. The flame-retardant polypropylene construction resists corrosive attack from diverse industrial media, including alkalis, alcohols, acids, solvents, and salt solutions, eliminating electrolytic corrosion, scaling, rust, and pitting. Ultraviolet-stabilized pigmentation shields above-ground lines from degradation while retaining dimensional integrity under thermal stress. Rated for operating pressures up to 35 psi, this mechanical bend supports gravity drainage, vacuum piping, and intermittent pumped discharge systems. The fitting withstands continuous fluid service temperatures up to 180 degrees Fahrenheit (82 degrees Celsius) and handles intermittent thermal spikes up to 212 degrees Fahrenheit (100 degrees Celsius). Its compact envelope fits seamlessly into restrictive chases, plenum cavities, and interstitial wall spaces across life sciences, chemical processing facilities, and academic institutions.
