The Georg Fischer Fuseal Combo Wye & 1/8 Bend 90 degrees engineered fitting provides a high-efficiency directional transition for industrial and institutional corrosive waste drainage systems. Fabricated as an integrated assembly combining a 45-degree wye with a matching one-eighth bend (45 degrees), the large-diameter socket-weld fitting (S x S x S) establishes a sweeping 90-degree entry path that optimizes hydraulic flow dynamics, minimizes turbulence, and drastically reduces the potential for solids deposition in heavy-duty drain, waste, and vent (DWV) piping networks. Manufactured from chemically resistant polypropylene, available in flame retardant (PPFR) for plenum and above-ground installations as well as non-flame retardant (PPNFR) formulations for below-grade service, the component is completely immune to galvanic corrosion, pitting, scaling, and electrolytic degradation. Joining is achieved via the Fuseal LD electrofusion system utilizing heavy-duty resistance wire coils, generating a fully homogeneous, fused melt zone across the socket hubs to guarantee permanent leak-free structural integrity under intermittent vacuum or pumped drainage conditions rated up to 50 psi. Formulated with ultraviolet-stabilized pigmentation and heat stabilizers, the material safely accommodates continuous chemical waste discharge streams at temperatures up to 180 degrees Fahrenheit (82 degrees Celsius) and handles severe intermittent thermal surges up to 212 degrees Fahrenheit (100 degrees Celsius). The configuration is engineered for chemical process industries, life science facilities, biotechnology hubs, hospital clinical departments, and university research laboratories conveying hostile mixtures of dilute mineral acids, caustic alkalis, organic solvents, alcohols, and salt solutions, delivering superior service life where traditional metallic drainage piping materials suffer catastrophic chemical failure.
