The Georg Fischer Fuseal Fast-Lock drum trap PP 1 1/2-2 inch S x S provides dependable chemical waste interception and water-seal integrity across industrial, institutional, and laboratory drainage networks. Engineered from flame-retardant polypropylene (PPFR), this specialized drum trap delivers outstanding resistance against the corrosive action of aggressive acids, bases, alcohols, and chemical solvent mixtures commonly discharged in research facilities, hospitals, and chemical processing plants, completely eliminating risks associated with rust, pitting, scaling, or electrolytic degradation. Designed for demanding DWV applications, the unit safely accommodates continuous working temperatures up to 180 degrees Fahrenheit (82 degrees Celsius) and intermittent discharge surges reaching 212 degrees Fahrenheit (100 degrees Celsius), while carrying an operational pressure rating of 35 psi suitable for pumped effluent lines and vacuum drainage systems. Featuring an efficient socket-by-socket (S x S) connection compatible with both flame-retardant and non-flame-retardant polypropylene piping, the drum trap incorporates the proprietary Fast-Lock mechanical joint system, which utilizes an integrated collar secured with an 8 mm or 10 mm socket driver. This mechanical assembly eliminates the requirement for solvent cements, specialized grooving equipment, and lengthy curing cycles, ensuring immediate readiness for hydrostatic pressure testing and commissioning in tight spaces. With a standardized body drum diameter of 4.50 inches and an overall assembly height of 9.34 inches, the fitting offers precise center-to-face dimensions, featuring an inlet-to-center offset of 2.25 inches for 1 1/2 inch configurations and 2.38 inches for 2 inch lines, with an inlet-to-outlet centerline distance of 5.13 inches.
