The Georg Fischer Fuseal Fast-Lock PPFR P-trap with cleanout is an engineered drainage fitting designed for corrosive chemical waste, laboratory fluid conveyance, and industrial DWV systems. Manufactured from flame retardant polypropylene (PPFR), the assembly features a modular mechanical joint architecture compatible with both flame retardant and non-flame retardant polypropylene piping spanning dimensions from 1 1/2 to 4 inches. The integrated cleanout port is situated at the base of the trap bend and is sealed with a threaded plug, allowing immediate, non-destructive access for routine inspection, sediment removal, and mechanical clearing without dismantling adjacent piping sections. Rated for an intermittent operating pressure of 35 psi, this trap accommodates gravity flow as well as pumped or vacuum-assisted drainage systems subject to cyclical operational stresses. Thermal performance capabilities support continuous operation up to 180 degrees Fahrenheit (82 degrees Celsius) and intermittent high-temperature discharge surges up to 212 degrees Fahrenheit (100 degrees Celsius). The inert PPFR composition offers comprehensive resistance against dilute mineral acids, caustic alkalis, organic solvents, alcohols, and salt solutions, preventing rust, scaling, pitting, and electrolysis. Utilizing the Fast-Lock collar connection, the mechanical joint secures around standard pipe ends with an 8 mm or 10 mm socket driver, eliminating grooving tools, solvent cements, toxic vapors, and curing delays to allow instant pressure testing and commissioning within compact wall partitions and service shafts.
