Fuseal Fast-Lock 1/4 Bend 90° Vent S x S

Fuseal Fast-Lock 1/4 Bend 90° Vent S x S

  Datasheet (PDF)

The Georg Fischer Fuseal Fast-Lock 1/4 bend 90 degrees vent fitting is an engineered mechanical joint component manufactured from flame-retardant polypropylene (PPFR) for corrosive chemical waste drainage and industrial DWV venting applications. Engineered to redirect flow and accommodate directional transitions at a precise right angle in venting and drainage lines, the socket-by-socket (S x S) fitting delivers exceptional chemical resistance across institutional, laboratory, pharmaceutical, life science, and industrial installations. Fabricated from high-grade polypropylene copolymer, the fitting withstands aggressive chemical effluents containing mixtures of alkalis, alcohols, acids, solvents, and salt solutions, eliminating risks of rust, pitting, scaling, electrolysis, and interior corrosion. The UV-resistant and heat-stabilized formulation permits reliable above-grade as well as below-grade service, safely accommodating intermittent high-temperature discharges up to 212 degrees Fahrenheit (100 degrees Celsius) and continuous operational service up to 180 degrees Fahrenheit (82 degrees Celsius). Utilizing the innovative Fast-Lock mechanical joint mechanism, the fitting ensures rapid, mess-free field assembly that eliminates the need for solvent cements, specialized curing periods, open flames, or grooving equipment. Assembly is executed using standard 8 mm or 10 mm socket drivers, allowing immediate operational readiness and pressure testing. Compact exterior geometry allows tight installation between wall cavities and narrow chases where conventional mechanical drainage fittings cannot fit. Rated for an operating pressure of 35 psi, it provides reliable integrity for gravity flow as well as vacuum and intermittent pumped discharge drainage networks. The fitting is fully compatible with both flame-retardant and non-flame-retardant Schedule 40 and Schedule 80 polypropylene pipes, and its modular design permits interchangeable assembly with Fuseal electrofusion collars for transition versatility.
