The Georg Fischer Fuseal Fast-Lock 1/24 bend 15 degrees socket-by-socket (S x S) fitting is an engineered thermoplastic directional component designed for flame-retardant polypropylene industrial and laboratory corrosive waste drainage piping systems. Fabricated from flame-retardant polypropylene (PP), the fitting facilitates subtle 15 degrees angular adjustments in drain, waste, and vent (DWV) routing across nominal pipe sizes from 1 1/2 inches to 4 inches while preserving optimal hydraulic flow characteristics. Engineered specifically for the Fuseal Fast-Lock mechanical joint platform, this component incorporates compact hub profiles compatible with interchangeable mechanical locking collars and elastomer seals, requiring only a standard 8 mm or 10 mm socket driver for rapid, tool-efficient assembly without specialty grooving tools, solvent cements, or hazardous emissions. The joint achieves an immediate pressure capability rated up to 35 psi without cure intervals, making it fully suitable for vacuum systems and intermittently pumped drainage lines. In addition, the modular fitting hub accommodates seamless interchangeability with Fuseal electrofusion collars when transitioning between mechanical and fused installations. The polypropylene formulation delivers outstanding chemical resistance against aggressive acids, bases, alcohols, solvents, and salt solutions, eliminating risks of electrolytic pitting, scaling, and internal galvanic corrosion across continuous operating temperatures up to 180 degrees Fahrenheit (82 degrees Celsius) and intermittent thermal surges reaching 212 degrees Fahrenheit (100 degrees Celsius). Integrated heat-stabilized and ultraviolet-resistant pigmentation ensures mechanical durability and physical stability in both exposed above-ground installations and confined pipe chases.
