The Georg Fischer Fuseal 45 degrees wye S x S x S is an engineered polypropylene branch fitting designed for large-diameter corrosive waste drainage and chemical DWV applications. Developed for nominal pipe dimensions of 8 inches, 10 inches, and 12 inches, the fitting provides a calibrated 45-degree lateral intersection that optimizes fluid transition dynamics, minimizes turbulence, and prevents solids accumulation in industrial drainage networks. Manufactured from premium polypropylene available in flame retardant (PPFR) and non-flame retardant (PPNFR) formulations, the fitting offers total chemical resistance against concentrated alkalis, mineral acids, alcohols, harsh solvents, and aqueous salt solutions, completely eliminating the corrosion, scaling, pitting, and electrolytic decay common to metallic lines. Engineered with an all-socket (S x S x S) configuration, the unit utilizes Fuseal LD electrofusion loose coil technology to generate a uniform melt zone, creating permanent, high-integrity welded joints compatible with schedule 40 and schedule 80 polypropylene piping systems. The robust structural design maintains dimensional stability during continuous service up to 180 degrees Fahrenheit (82 degrees Celsius) and withstands intermittent thermal discharges up to 212 degrees Fahrenheit (100 degrees Celsius). Rated for drainage operating pressures up to 50 psi to accommodate intermittent pump cycles and vacuum drainage requirements, the fitting is heat-stabilized and pigmented for exceptional ultraviolet resistance, delivering maintenance-free performance across life sciences, industrial processing, university laboratories, and food and beverage facilities.
