The Blucast flanged tapping saddle with stainless steel band is engineered for creating dependable, high-integrity flanged branch connections on ductile iron, cast iron, and carbon steel utility pipelines. Specifically designed for potable water distribution, municipal infrastructure networks, wastewater treatment facilities, and industrial fluid conveyance, this heavy-duty tapping saddle provides a secure transition point for branch pipework, bypass systems, isolation gate valves, and automatic air release assemblies under continuous operational pressures up to 16 bar (PN16).

Manufactured from robust EN-GJS-500-7 ductile cast iron, the flanged outlet saddle body delivers exceptional mechanical strength and long-term structural resistance against dynamic pipeline vibrations, soil movement, and hydraulic water hammer. Hydrostatic tightness against the host pipe wall is ensured by an integrated, precision-moulded EPDM elastomer sealing gasket compliant with EN 681 standards. This seal maintains consistent elasticity and leak-tight performance across fluid working temperatures ranging from 0 to 80 degrees Celsius in neutral liquid systems.

Radial securing is achieved through a heavy-gauge AISI 304 stainless steel strap with matching stainless steel fasteners. The wide band geometry uniformly distributes tightening torque around the pipe circumference, preventing localized shell deformation on thin-walled or aged mains while maximizing contact stability. For long-term durability in aggressive buried environments and above-ground utility chambers, the ductile iron body features an electrostatic powder epoxy coating with a minimum dry film thickness of 250 micrometres in RAL 5015 sky blue. The flanged connection adheres strictly to EN 1092-2 bolt patterns, enabling seamless connection to standard industrial valves and fittings across sizes from DN 80-50 to DN 600-150.
