The Blucast AQZ series flange adaptor is a heavy-duty, tensile-resistant mechanical fitting engineered to connect polyethylene (PE80, PE100, PE100-RC) and PVC-U pressure pipes directly to flanged valves, pumps, and pipeline equipment. Manufactured from premium ductile iron EN-GJS-500-7, this fitting provides a robust transition connection for potable water networks, raw water mains, industrial utility systems, and neutral liquid transport operating under pressures up to PN16 (16 bar).

Engineered for full end-load restraint, the AQZ adaptor integrates an internal serrated brass grip ring alongside an elastomeric EPDM compression gasket compliant with EN 681-1. As the flange connection and clamping bolts are tightened, the brass ring bites evenly into the external circumference of the plastic pipe wall, locking the joint against axial pullout forces caused by dynamic internal hydraulic pressures, water hammer, or ground settlement. This integrated restraint eliminates the necessity for concrete thrust blocks in standard trench installations, significantly accelerating project turnaround on site.

Long-term corrosion resistance is ensured by an electrostatic powder epoxy coating with a minimum thickness of 250 µm in accordance with EN 14901, applied in sky blue RAL 5015. The coating is non-porous, highly resistant to chemical aggression from surrounding soils and transported media, and fully certified for hygienic use in drinking water distribution. The flange dimensions and bolt hole drilling strictly adhere to EN 1092-2 PN10 and PN16 standards, ensuring seamless compatibility across municipal infrastructure networks.
