The BLUCAST ARV ball check valve is a heavy-duty non-return unit engineered for municipal drinking water, raw water transport and municipal or industrial wastewater and sewage systems. Body and bonnet are cast in ductile iron EN-GJS-500-7, and the flanged full-bore design keeps the passage completely unrestricted, so hydraulic head loss stays minimal. The free-rolling closure member — a metallic core fully vulcanised with NBR — moves out of the direct fluid path under dynamic flow, allowing solid particles, viscous media and fibrous material to pass without snagging or sediment build-up.

The valve works reliably in both horizontal and vertical piping runs (with upward flow). The self-cleaning action prevents clogging on wastewater and sewage pump discharge lines, while the full vulcanisation of the ball gives a bubble-tight shut-off against backpressure even at low differential pressures. The simple bonnet assembly, fastened with corrosion-resistant AISI 304 stainless steel bolts, allows inspection and rapid ball replacement without removing the body from the main pipeline.

Corrosion protection is an automatic electrostatic powder epoxy coating of minimum 250 microns in sky blue RAL 5015, certified for potable water contact under ACS and WRAS sanitary standards. Rated PN16 from DN 50 to DN 400 and for media from 0 to 80 degrees Celsius, the ARV series suits pumping stations, treatment plants and utility distribution networks.
