The Blucast double flanged pipe L=800 is a rigid spool piece engineered for municipal drinking water networks, industrial process systems, and utility pumping installations. Fabricated from ductile cast iron grade EN-GJS-500-7 in accordance with the EN 545 standard, this component provides structural strength, high yield point capability, and resistance to ground movement, pressure transients, and water hammer effects. With a standardized nominal lay length of 800 mm and integrally cast flanges, it establishes a reliable, non-flexible section in pipeline alignments, valve chambers, and mechanical plant rooms operating at an allowable operating pressure of PN16 (16 bar).

Corrosion mitigation is achieved via an automatic electrostatic powder epoxy coating applied to a uniform dry film thickness of at least 250 micrometres in RAL 5015 sky blue. The coating provides full internal and external coverage, isolating the ductile iron substrate from aggressive soil chemistry, acidic groundwater, and chemical sanitising agents present in potable water distribution. The epoxy formulation complies with sanitary standards, carrying WRAS and ACS conformity approvals for continuous contact with water intended for human consumption at operating temperatures ranging from 0 to +80 degrees C.

The pipe features fixed flange ends drilled strictly according to EN 1092-2 (ISO 7005-2) specifications for PN16 pressure ratings, ensuring dimensional interchangeability with standard isolation valves, non-return check valves, dismantling joints, flowmeters, and strainers. The flat, precisely machined flange faces accommodate standard flat EPDM gaskets or reinforced profile gaskets, ensuring leak-tight joints under continuous dynamic and hydrostatic test pressures.
