The Georg Fischer iJoint 664 double clamp saddle (GF Piping Systems) is a bolted mechanical branching fitting that opens two opposed service connections from a single point on a pressurised main. It is built for polyethylene mains (PE 80, PE 100, PEX) and PVC-U distribution pipe from d20 mm to d160 mm, with parallel female branch threads from 1/2 inch to 4 inches, so two derivations are taken without a second excavation and without a second saddle.

The body is moulded in UV-stabilised polypropylene impact copolymer (PP-B) with long-term ageing stability to ISO 9080, giving high impact strength and full immunity to electrochemical corrosion, incrustation and soil-borne chemical attack. Both threaded outlets follow DIN EN 10226 (ISO 7-1) and are reinforced by an integrated AISI 430 stainless steel ring, which absorbs hoop stress and prevents thread cracking when brass or plastic male fittings are torqued into place.

Hydraulic sealing against the host pipe is provided by a flat lip profile gasket in food-safe NBR rubber, 70 Shore A, forgiving of ovality, undersized diameters and surface scratches on the main. The two clamp halves are closed with galvanised steel M8 or M10 bolts and nuts, spreading the clamping force evenly over the pipe circumference without local wall constriction or reduction of the flow section.

Typical duties are potable water distribution and network extensions, house connections and service lines, pressure sewage, professional irrigation and greenhouse manifolds, and industrial fluid handling. BigWeld is an authorised Georg Fischer distributor.
