The Georg Fischer PP-V backing flange is a high-performance metric piping component engineered specifically for polyethylene (PE100 and PE80) flange assemblies in utility and industrial installations. Manufactured from polypropylene reinforced with 30% chemically resistant glass fibres (PP-GF), this backing flange provides exceptional structural rigidity, superior torsional strength, and outstanding chemical resistance. Rated for an operating pressure of 16 bar (PN16) across the entire dimensional span of d20 to d225 mm (DN15 to DN200), it delivers dependable mechanical support for critical process and distribution pipelines.

Engineered to interface seamlessly with PE flange adaptors (stub ends) in both butt fusion and metric socket fusion systems, the PP-V backing flange ensures uniform load distribution across the sealing face. The rigid glass-fibre matrix prevents creeping and radial distortion under continuous bolt torque, maintaining optimal surface compression on flange gaskets such as EPDM or FKM. The bolt circle conforms precisely to EN 1092-1, ISO 7005, and DIN 2501 standards for PN10 and PN16 ratings.
