This PVC-U ball valve with compression fitting provides bidirectional shut-off and precise flow isolation for agricultural irrigation, industrial water networks, water treatment infrastructure, and pressurized utility piping systems. Manufactured with an unplasticised polyvinyl chloride body and integrated mechanical compression coupling, this unit enables direct mechanical connection to metric polyethylene (HDPE) or PVC-U pipe without requiring thermal jointing tools or solvent cement on the compression end. Rated for a nominal operating pressure of PN16 (16 bar at 20 degrees Celsius), the valve satisfies dimensional, mechanical, and pressure performance criteria according to ISO EN 1452-3.

Internal sealing is achieved through resilient EPDM elastomer O-rings and backing seals combined with low-friction PTFE ball seats, ensuring smooth quarter-turn actuation and bubble-tight isolation under fluctuating hydraulic pressures. The unplasticised polyvinyl chloride formulation exhibits high resistance against chemical degradation from dilute acids, alkalis, saline solutions, and agricultural fertilizers according to ISO/TR 10358 standards. The integrated compression end utilizes an acetal grip ring and an EPDM profile gasket to deliver high pull-out resistance against axial hydraulic stresses, preventing pipe detachment during pressure surges.

Available across outer pipe diameters from d20 mm to d63 mm, the valve body features an ergonomic manual lever with clear visual open and closed alignment. The union design permits in-line maintenance and component inspection without disassembling adjacent pipe runs. During installation, the pipe end must be cut square, deburred, and chamfered prior to insertion past the EPDM gasket to the internal pipe stop, followed by manual or strap-wrench tightening of the compression nut.
