The Georg Fischer iJOINT 90-degree compression elbow with threaded male off take is a high-performance polypropylene fitting engineered for direct connection of polyethylene (PE 80, PE 100, PEX, and PEX-a) pipes to female-threaded network components. Designed for demanding pressurized water distribution lines, civil service connections, high-end agricultural irrigation, and industrial process piping, this compression elbow provides a secure 90-degree directional transition with maximum hydraulic efficiency and long-term reliability under continuous PN16 (16 bar) operating pressure.

Engineered by GF Piping Systems, the fitting body and nut are manufactured from UV-stabilized polypropylene impact copolymer (PP-B) complying with ISO 9080 long-term aging standards. The compression mechanism utilizes an advanced push-fit system that enables effortless installation without disassembling the nut or chamfering the pipe ends. Inside the joint, a factory-lubricated, food-grade EPDM lip gasket provides positive sealing even on ovalized, undersized, or slightly scratched pipe surfaces, while a high-tensile polyacetal (POM) grip ring bites firmly into the pipe wall to deliver superior pull-out restraint and water hammer resistance. The male threaded outlet features a taper thread manufactured according to DIN EN 10226 (ISO 7-1) standards for leak-tight integration with valves, pumps, and metal hardware.

Operating reliably within a temperature range of -10 °C to +45 °C, the iJOINT elbow is entirely non-corrosive, preventing internal incrustation and galvanic degradation. The system holds major international drinking water approvals, including DVGW GW 335-B3, ACS, KIWA, and SVGW, conforming strictly to ISO 17885, DIN 8076-3, and DIN EN 12201 standards.
