The Georg Fischer iJoint 90 degrees polypropylene compression elbow provides a secure, high-integrity mechanical change of direction for pressurized polyethylene (PE 80, PE 100, PEX, PEX-a) piping systems. Engineered specifically for potable water supply, building connections, distribution mains, agricultural irrigation networks, and industrial fluid applications, this fitting delivers maximum reliability with an operating pressure rating of PN16 (16 bar). Its advanced push-fit architecture allows rapid assembly directly out of the box without the need to dismantle the nut, remove internal components, or pre-chamfer the pipe ends, significantly reducing labor duration on site.

Manufactured from high-grade UV-stabilized polypropylene copolymer (PP-B) complying with ISO 9080 long-term thermal stability requirements, the fitting body and blue retaining nut ensure outstanding resistance against environmental stress cracking, UV exposure, and chemical degradation. Internal retention is achieved through a specialized polyacetal (POM) grip ring designed with sharp axial teeth that firmly bite into the pipe wall under tensile load, preventing pull-out caused by mechanical stress, ground movement, or continuous water hammer. Sealing is executed by a factory-lubricated, food-grade EPDM lip gasket engineered to adapt dynamically to imperfect pipe surfaces, maintaining a leak-tight seal on ovalized, undersized, or longitudinally scratched pipes.

This all-plastic compression elbow eliminates the risks of galvanic corrosion, incrustation, and internal biological fouling. Rated for continuous fluid temperatures ranging from -10 °C to +45 °C, the iJoint system complies with major international drinking water regulations including DVGW GW 335-B3, W270, KTW, ACS, KIWA, and SVGW, as well as mechanical testing standards ISO 17885 and DIN 8076-3.
