iJoint PP Compression Coupling PN16 d16-110mm
Data Sheet | Product Range | Instructional Video
The Georg Fischer iJoint compression coupling is a mechanical fitting for joining two metric thermoplastic pipes in pressure distribution networks, supplied across the d16 to d110 mm range at a maximum operating pressure of PN16 (16 bar) and an operating temperature window of -10 degrees Celsius to +45 degrees Celsius. It connects PE 80 and PE 100 polyethylene pipe as well as cross-linked PEX and PEX-a, making it a direct repair, extension and branch-line solution for buried mains and exposed above-ground runs alike.
The body and thrust ring are moulded in UV-stabilized polypropylene impact copolymer (PP-B) with long-term aging stability to ISO 9080, so the joint stays free of galvanic corrosion, rust and internal incrustation. Axial restraint comes from a polyacetal (POM) split grip ring that bites into the pipe wall and holds against pull-out loads and water hammer, while sealing is handled by a factory-lubricated, food-safe EPDM lip gasket that remains tight on ovalized, undersized or lightly scratched pipe surfaces.
Installation is direct push-fit: the pipe is inserted without dismantling the nut, chamfering the pipe end or using dedicated tooling, and the coupling can be taken apart and reused, which suits temporary bypass lines as well as permanent networks. Typical applications include potable water distribution and main extensions, house connections and service lines, pressure sewage systems, agricultural irrigation and greenhouses, mining and industrial fluid handling.
- Nominal pressure: PN16 (16 bar MOP)
- Diameter range: d16 - d110 mm
- Operating temperature: -10 to +45 degrees Celsius
- Body and thrust ring: UV-stabilized PP-B to ISO 9080
- Grip ring: polyacetal (POM)
- Seal: food-safe EPDM lip gasket
- Drinking water approvals: DVGW GW 335-B3, KTW, W270, ACS, KIWA, SVGW, IIP (DM 174)
- Standards: ISO 17885, DIN 8076-3, ISO 3501, DIN EN 12201, ISO 4427
