Union elbow galvanised malleable iron
The Georg Fischer Figure 102 galvanised malleable cast iron union elbow provides a robust 90-degree detachable transition designed for rigid industrial piping, water distribution, gas lines, and compressed air systems. Engineered with an integrated taper seat providing metallic cone-to-cone sealing geometry, the fitting delivers a reliable, high-integrity joint without reliance on flat elastomeric sealing gaskets. The assembly consists of three precision-matched components: a Figure 102 ET union elbow bush featuring an external taper pipe thread (R in accordance with EN 10226-1 and ISO 7-1) along with a parallel external fastening thread, a Figure 374 G heavy-duty union nut with ISO 228-1 fastening threads, and a Figure 381 taper seat union end equipped with an internal parallel jointing thread (Rp in accordance with EN 10226-1 and ISO 7-1). As the union nut is torqued, it draws the precision-machined conical seat of the union end into intimate metal-to-metal contact with the complementary seat of the elbow body, creating a gas-tight and liquid-tight seal that resists rotational and mechanical pipeline stresses while permitting full disassembly and reassembly without pipe modification. Manufactured from high-grade decarburised whiteheart malleable cast iron EN-GJMW-400-5, the fitting provides exceptional tensile strength, elongation, and structural resilience against pressure surges. The durable hot-dip galvanised zinc finish offers excellent barrier protection against oxidation and corrosion, ensuring long service life in demanding environments. Accommodating nominal sizes from 1/2 inch to 1 inch, the union elbow is rated for maximum operating pressures of 25 bar at working temperatures from -20 degrees to 120 degrees Celsius, and up to 20 bar at elevated temperatures up to 300 degrees Celsius.
