The Georg Fischer 51 galvanised malleable cast iron 30-degree bend is an engineered threaded fitting designed to create precise directional changes of 30 degrees within industrial, commercial, and utility piping networks. Manufactured from decarburised annealed whiteheart malleable cast iron grade EN-GJMW-400-5 in full accordance with Design Symbol A under EN 10242 and ISO 49, the fitting combines robust mechanical strength with high ductility and exceptional shock absorption, reliably withstanding tensile stresses, mechanical vibrations, and internal hydraulic transients. Both connection ends feature precision-machined parallel internal jointing threads (Rp) compliant with EN 10226-1 and ISO 7-1, ensuring accurate thread engagement and dependable metallic surface compression when paired with taper external pipe threads (R). Surface protection is delivered through a premium hot-dip galvanising process utilising high-purity zinc, which forms an integrated, diffusion-bonded iron-zinc alloy layer beneath a protective pure zinc exterior, providing long-term corrosion resistance in harsh operational environments and full compliance with hygienic requirements for drinking water installations under DIN 50930-6. Engineered for demanding industrial and building services environments, the component maintains an operational pressure envelope of up to 25 bar across temperatures from -20 degrees Celsius to 120 degrees Celsius, and up to 20 bar at elevated temperatures reaching 300 degrees Celsius. Standardised z-dimensions across the 1/2-inch to 2-inch sizing spectrum enable exact centre-to-centre calculations and systematic pipeline prefabrication, dramatically reducing installation labor while guaranteeing angular precision in compressed air, fire protection, gas distribution, cooling, and hydronic systems.
