Georg Fischer malleable cast iron longscrew hexagon nipple 534 is an engineered threaded pipe component designed for rigid pipeline alignment, tie-in connections, and non-rotational jointing in demanding industrial, heating, and fluid conveyance systems. Featuring an integrated central hexagonal drive for precise wrench engagement, the fitting incorporates two distinct threaded ends to facilitate adjustable longitudinal installations: a standard taper external pipe thread R conforming to EN 10226-1 (ISO 7-1) for pressure-tight joint sealing directly on the threads, and an extended parallel fastening external thread G...B conforming to EN ISO 228-1 with tolerance class B. The elongated parallel threaded shank provides the operational travel required for longscrew assemblies, allowing a companion backnut and socket to traverse smoothly along the barrel to bridge pipeline gaps and lock rigid pipe spools securely into place without rotating adjacent pipe sections. Manufactured from high-grade decarburised annealed whiteheart malleable cast iron EN-GJMW-400-5 in accordance with EN 1562 and EN 10242 Design Symbol A, the component delivers high mechanical strength, dimensional stability, and superior resistance to torsional stress. Surface protection is provided through hot-dip galvanising on the fitting body combined with electroplated zinc threads, ensuring dependable protection against atmospheric corrosion alongside precise thread engagement. Rated for a maximum permissible working pressure of 25 bar across temperatures ranging from -20 degrees Celsius to 120 degrees Celsius, and up to 20 bar at temperatures up to 300 degrees Celsius, the nipple operates reliably in industrial fluid circuits, non-potable water systems, compressed air distribution, and thermal heating pipelines.
